A wonderful hotel.

I have been rewarding myself by staying there once a year for several years. The rooms are individually and very tastefully furnished with small touches. I stayed in the guesthouse in a fireplace suite with a balcony. A magnificent view from this room. You can tell that this hotel continuously invests to maintain a high standard of quality. I travel a lot and stay in many hotels. Der Hirschen surpasses many others on several levels. The breakfast is unique. Not cheap if you want to share the experience with breakfast guests, but it's something special. I'm looking forward to my next stay.

A perfect hotel to enjoy the Bregenz Festival.

The perfect accommodation for the Bregenz Festival. Bus stop right in front of the door. A beautifully designed interior, very tastefully furnished. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast is truly exceptionally varied and delicious. Many local suppliers, high-quality products, and something for every taste.

Who would stay in Bregenz when they can stay in the Hirschen in Dornbirn!

We visited the Bregenz Festival. We found Dornbirn more charming than Bregenz and the hotel very fitting. Exceptionally friendly staff, drinks from the bar until the room was ready, shuttle to the concert. Very tastefully furnished, great room, rooftop terrace, and an absolutely outstanding, indescribable breakfast!!!

This hotel is truly an 11/10

We stayed here for the second time and would come back again and again. I have never experienced such a breakfast buffet before, wow ?. The rooms are fantastic (this time we had a room with a huge balcony and a view of the mountains, just dreamy!!). I ordered a bouquet of flowers for Friday (for my boyfriend's birthday)... the bouquet exceeded all my expectations, and on top of that, we received a bottle of wine from the hotel as a gift.

I really recommend everyone to visit this hotel at least once and let yourself be enchanted... believe me, whoever comes here once will come back at least a second time?.

All the hotel staff deserve high praise (especially the evening service team!!!?).

Friendly staff, perhaps the best breakfast (great selection and wonderfully presented) I have ever had in a hotel, and very beautiful saunas with perfect relaxation areas. Chic and lovingly furnished at the same time. A boutique hotel that deserves the name.

I didn't take any photos, but so you can be surprised.

We had booked a suite room and felt very comfortable. Unfortunately, the pillows were not so comfortable for me. The spa area was small but adequate.
The service from the hotel staff was simply great. They were so friendly and helpful. And what is highly recommended and also possible without an overnight stay is to have brunch there. It's the best hotel breakfast I've had so far. There is so much choice, even for vegans! Simply fantastic. It's worth a visit and the town of Dornbirn is well worth a visit.

Woman thinks she's seen it all? Hirschen Dornbirn beats everything. Sensational hotel

Sensational boutique hotel that deserves every single star. The rooms are beautifully and stylishly designed - even the outside area is so lovingly and color-coordinated. It has a terrace outside - that must be an absolute dream in summer. The wellness area is so beautifully done. (1 steam bath and 1 sauna - very attractively designed). The breakfast is the best breakfast I have ever had. The staff are very nice and totally helpful. Please dear hoteliers - take a leaf out of their book.

? MEGA ?

I came to this hotel with no expectations and was overwhelmed. The main building is very cosy, you immediately feel at home. The rooms are nice & cosy. The spa area is really great. And the breakfast is a sensation. The variety is unbeatable and the quality is just right. So far, my highlight has always been the breakfast at the Emirate Towers in Dubai - but this one is EVEN BETTER. Indian lentils, flatbread, various spreads, salads paired with Kaiserschmarrn, macarons and Christmas biscuits can't be found anywhere else in Austria.

A dream hotel.

I was unfortunately only travelling on business and only spent one night in this hotel, but I would also very much like to come privately and just enjoy the time there and in the surroundings. Rooms were top, clean and very modern and cosily furnished, you feel at home. Great atmosphere, with a beautiful guest garden, terrace and SPA area. Absolutely recommendable...and, breakfast? Phenomenal, incredibly tasty, high quality and simply meant to be enjoyed.

Was for the second time with Grimm Reisen in the Hirschen. I chose this period especially to be in this hotel again. Beautiful, comfortable and super furnished room. The breakfast was amazing, there are no words for the food offered. I have been to hotels in many countries, none of them have offered what is offered at the Hirschen.

I am always in this hotel on business. I have not had a room that I did not like. Everything top modern incl. air conditioning which is not standard everywhere and always very lovingly furnished. The breakfast offer could not yet outbid any hotel, who finds nothing here. Sorry really a madness ! Can therefore really only recommend it.

Fantastic hotel.

There are parking places in front as well as on the back yard. High quality furniture, very clean. And Wow fitness room. I have not seen such an equipment before, everything is with wood.

Breakfast buffet at the Hotel Hirschen Dornbirn, as an external guest:

The summary in advance: "When breakfast becomes the unsurpassed exquisite culinary pleasure": Absolutely great ambience (beautifully renovated room in the style mix traditional / new), where you immediately feel at home. Plenty of space at your own breakfast table! The breakfast buffet itself: Such an extensive and absolutely exquisite selection of dishes, side dishes, and drinks I have never experienced. Sparkling wine and salmon are a matter of course anyway. But: If the honey is offered to you still in the honeycomb, then you know: THE HERE is absolutely exclusive, of very high level and of top quality. In addition, the dishes are extremely refined presented in easily accessible type of showcases and presented for removal, that they are hard to beat in freshness. The capuccino is to die for! The service is extremely friendly, competent and at all times extremely concerned about the guest. Here you can invite also your "high visitor" at any time with pleasure to the breakfast. This is a real pleasure!

The breakfast alone is worth a stay at the Hirschen

I have already stayed in umpteen hotels, many of which were also in Vorarlberg. But my personal favorite of them all is and remains the Hirschen in Dornbirn. I have never experienced a more extensive breakfast with such an incredibly huge selection of seasonal and freshly prepared dishes as here.

Simply "WOW".

I visited the hotel as part of a business trip and was very taken with it. The rooms are nice and large and impeccably clean. Various amenities (bathrobe, electric fireplace, etc.) are available and the windows are soundproofed; accordingly, I was able to sleep great.

The spa area is new and really nice. Here, too, a great emphasis is placed on making the guest feel comfortable. Sufficient towels, various books in the relaxation rooms and a tea station.

The highlight was certainly the breakfast the next day. Here I even sat so long that I was late for my appointment. There was felt everything and also many exotic things. Care is taken to ensure that the various foods are healthy and regional.

Overall, a very clear hotel recommendation!

Here you just have to smile!

We were for the first time in this hotel, we felt very comfortable from the first second! Very friendly staff and the room was very nicely decorated and clean without any blemish! We did not want to leave so well we liked it. A clear recommendation!

It's a pity there are only 5 stars; if there were more, the Hirschen would get 10 out of 10!

Thanks to a recommendation, we are delighted to have discovered one of the best hotels in existence. I am away a lot on business, spending approx. 230 nights a year in hotels; but I have only found anything remotely as good among the top 5* luxury hotels. Excellent food, super cosy rooms, a brilliant wellness complex and the staff - simply sensational. Whether you visit on business, with your partner or with your family, this is really the best-kept secret of all times!

A truly wonderful hotel, with modern, super clean rooms. They have thought of absolutely everything. We felt so completely at home that we didn’t want to leave. The reception team were welcoming and looked after us very well. The wellness complex too is a little oasis of well-being. Comfy loungers, bath robes, slippers and even therapeutic teas were on offer.. The breakfast is simply unbelievable. In short, we can only recommend it wholeheartedly.

We didn't expect this!!!

For our boys’ trip away we were looking for a centrally located hotel as a base for our activities (snow-shoe walking in Bödele and nightlife in the town), and didn’t really look too closely at the hotel we had chosen. What we found was: super service, super rooms, a fantastic atmosphere, a great new wellness complex, excellent food with the best hotel breakfast I have ever had, made from delicious, fresh locally sourced produce. The hotel’s 4 stars are really well deserved. A return visit would be great – no, essential!

MANY thanks for yesterday’s specially prepared menu! We were all very positively surprised and had a great time.

Everything was great, from the wonderful table decorations, to the specially made menu card and the fabulous food. Obviously Gault-Millau has not yet discovered your establishment, otherwise you would be already be sporting two merits, and rightly so - everything was absolutely perfect. The recommended wine, “Bienenfresser” also hit the right spot, as can be seen from the bill! In this respect Chef de Rang Dietmar is a very good salesman, and the wine totally lived up to his recommendations. The Hotel Hirschen offers real value for money. The people of Dornbirn should be proud to have such an establishment in their town.

Many thanks to the entire kitchen and service team – we will be back.

Everything was perfect!

Tasteful rooms with stylish decor – even a yoga mat, umbrella, coffee machine, tea-maker, 2 flat-screen TVs, everything working perfectly.

I have rarely had the pleasure to occupy such a brilliantly unconventional room. Not overly large, but gave the impression of spaciousness – it has to be seen to be believed! I travel a lot and thought I had seen it all, but this really surprised me.

The breakfast buffet was 5*+, offered everything the heart desires, as well as a lot I hadn’t expected. The restaurant is a sensation for both the eyes and the palate, with an extremely good selection of excellent wines. My compliments to the owners, whose obvious style and taste, and attention to the well-being of their guests can only be warmly recommend.

A comfortable short break

How nice to find a combination of friendly staff, a stylish ambience and excellent cuisine. Our stay would have been made worthwhile by the incredible breakfast alone. We have visited a lot of places all over the world, but here the breakfast in particular blew us away. Our stay at the Hirschen was really enjoyable. The combination of top quality cuisine and friendly staff cannot fail to make every guest feel welcome – this is sincere heartfelt hospitality.

A great little break in Dornbirn, Vorarlberg!

What a lovely break, with typical Austrian service and an unbelievable breakfast buffet. It’s certainly worth staying here; even though the hotel is not located directly in the town centre, bikes are available for hire.

An impressive short break!

Little art works can to be found throughout the entire hotel, and even in the rooms. The decor is of very high quality. The buffet breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, and extra dishes are available on request at no extra cost. The staff are all really friendly and polite. Car parking is excellent and free of charge. We will definitely be back.

A quite location, approx. 3 km from the centre of  Dornbirn ca. 3 km. Bus stop outside the front door, railway station approx. 5 mins’ walk away. Both means of transport can be used to access the lakeside Festival in Bregenz. (Tickets are generally also valid for the ÖPNV.) A very peaceful position. The rooms are clean and well furnishes; the beds are sufficiently large and hard. Breakfast: the unanimous opinion of our friends: this was the best breakfast buffet that we had ever seen. Generous, varied, delicious. It was a brilliant idea to display the food in refrigerated compartments, visible from above through glass panels. As a result the food stayed cool and reduced the risk of bacteria to a bare minimum. This is truly a Ferrari among buffets. Dinner: we all had the char, and were extremely satisfied. I should also mention the excellent and very helpful staff, both in the reception as well as in the restaurant. Even the trainee (who we watched) did a really professional job of handling difficult guests with diplomacy.

On arrival we were greeted with a friendly smile and looked after well. Our rooms in the neighbouring building were clean, extremely well furnished with quality fittings. We accepted the fact that the electric switches need some getting used to – we used the relevant mood lighting instead. A lot of things have been individually designed with much love and attention to detail. Everything was perfectly clean and well cared for. Our lunch and dinner reinforced our first opinion: well-seasoned dishes prepared from high quality produce, attractively presented and very tasty. A delicious amuse-bouche, very friendly, attentive service – we were delighted with everything! The next day began with a staggering, generous breakfast with a huge selection of  fresh, mainly locally sourced produce and an enormous variety of different tastes, some items seasoned with oriental spices, others featuring local products. The huge selection was simply remarkable! We have seldom partaken of such a grandiose breakfast buffet! All in all, this is a welcoming hotel in which you really feel at home, and a place to which you’d definitely want to return!

Great room with fireplace, very modern and new. The bathroom is also great. Spa area leaves little to be desired. Generous, free and covered parking. Staff super friendly. Absolute recommendation! I am totally thrilled.
