The Hirschen in Dornbirn is now being run by the fourth generation of the Hirt family. Starting out as a traditional inn, the establishment has developed, peu a peu, into a stylish small town hotel. Our boutique syle hotel is defined by quality materials, public rooms oozing ambience, food based on locally sourced produce and an imaginative cuisine. And we mustn’t forget our cosmopolitan hotel team, who welcome guests with enthusiasm and sincerity.

The roman number IV stands for the 4th district Haselstauden.
We are proud to be a part of Haselstauden and the IV is for us a symbol of our origin, makes our roots visible and connects us with this historic district. Only at this crossroads a general store with agriculture, then an inn and later a hotel could be established at that time. The history of Hotel Hirschen, in IV. Generation, is closely connected with the history of this quarter. The earliest documentary mention of Haselstauden dates back to September 17, 1249, and the Hirschen came 600 years later.
Some houses still preserved in their original form and renovated in an exemplary way can be found near the hotel. The ensemble, convincing by its unity, is unique for the district.
Our team
We would like to introduce our team. As everybody knows, good, motivated staff are the main stay of any business. We really do appreciate their hard work, and would like to extend our grateful thanks for their many years of loyal service. With mutual respect and on an equal footing, each team member works alongside our family to maintain our hotel values and those of traditional Austrian hospitality.
