Dornbirn, a little town in the heart of Vorarlberg
Dornbirn is truly THE place to shop in Vorarlberg. Located both in the town centre and in the Exhibition Hall shopping mall, countless shops of all kinds offer a satisfying day’s retail therapy. The juxtaposition of ancient and modern buildings adds an exciting factor to the town’s atmosphere: numerous prime examples of modern architecture typical of Vorarlberg blend in seamlessly among the gardens and parks epitomising the town centre. Dornbirn benefits tremendously from its superb location on the borders of four countries – Austria, the principality of Liechtenstein, Switzerland and Germany.
Haselstauden – a district of character and charm
Our hotel is situated in the Haselstauden sector of Dornbirn. We thoroughly recommend walking the town trail, which will help you discover the real heart of Haselstauden, including Dornbirn’s oldest church and a number of traditional old Rhine valley houses.

Culture in Vorarlberg
Enjoy the artistic and cultural heritage which is evident throughout the area - Vorarlberg is a land full of culture, where bold, innovative projects can always be found. Many are surprised, for example, by the contemporary (wooden) architecture and design-orientated handicrafts.
Vorarlberg can claim responsibility for some of Austria’s greatest brass bands. Many of these are adept at offering an innovative new take on traditional brass band music.
Vorarlberg can also hold its head high in the literary world. Nationally acclaimed authors holding literary awards include Michael Köhlmeier and Arno Geiger, as well as the columnist and authoress Doris Knecht, to name but a few.
