The Roman numeral IV stands for the 4th district of Haselstauden. This is where our roots lie. For us, the IV is more than just a number - it makes our origins visible and connects us to this historic district.
It was only at this crossroads that an inn - and later the Hotel Hirschen - could develop from a general store and farm. Our fourth-generation history is closely interwoven with Haselstauden.
The first documented mention of Haselstauden dates back to September 17, 1249 - the Hirschen was added around 600 years later. Even today, houses in their original form, lovingly renovated, can still be found in the neighborhood. This cohesive ensemble still characterizes the district today - and makes it unique.
