The history of the establishment began in 1843 in Dornbirn Haselstauden. Today, the Hirschen is run by the fourth generation of the Hirt family.
The hotel features 47 individually designed rooms and suites, spread across the historic main building and the modern guesthouse.

My stay at the Hotel Hirschen Dornbirn was simply outstanding.
The hotel is very clean, extremely well-maintained, and tastefully decorated. The rooms are modern, comfortable, and truly leave nothing to be desired. I was particularly pleasantly surprised by the complimentary upgrade upon arrival—great service and a very friendly welcome. The absolute highlight of my stay, however, was the breakfast buffet. I’ve been traveling for work for over 18 years and have seen a lot of great hotels during that time—but this breakfast really took the cake. Fantastic.

Wow! An incredibly good restaurant!!
Everything here is just perfect. It starts with the staff—no overly effusive niceties (which are just an act anyway), but above all, no unfriendliness; instead, super professional service. The food was simply sensational. On top of that, the entire design is cohesive down to the smallest detail and feels perfectly harmonious. I give it a solid five stars. We had soup and roast beef, both absolutely top-notch!
I’ll be back soon, whether they like it or not!

Everything was perfect and incredibly friendly!
I've never been able to give a perfect review before. But that’s exactly the case at the Hirschen! From booking to check-in, the room, the food, the staff, the amazing breakfast, all the way through to check-out—everything was perfect! The charging stations for the electric car worked, and the hotel has excellent public transit connections. In the well-equipped room, everything worked flawlessly (TV, digital fireplace, bathroom and shower fixtures). The bed was super comfortable. As I said, I couldn’t find a single thing that wasn’t good or didn’t work. Many thanks to Dave and the team for the wonderful and relaxing days. We’d love to come back!

Our hotel room with a spectacular rooftop terrace and a view of the mountains. Great design, furnishings that are practically brand-new. Spotless cleanliness. The breakfast buffet alone—among the hotels we’ve visited—is unmatched so far. Dinner was also great; the vegetarian dishes deserve special mention. The wine selection was superb as well.

We had a perfect time in every way at this hotel. The staff is exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always willing to help—a real highlight!
The room was very clean, modern, and tastefully decorated, and offered a beautiful view. The bed was also super comfortable—we slept like a log.
Breakfast left nothing to be desired: fresh ingredients, a wide selection, and lovingly presented.
A special highlight was dinner at the hotel restaurant. The quality of the food was outstanding—everything was fresh, creatively prepared, and of the highest culinary standard. The atmosphere was stylish and relaxed, and the service was very attentive! Whether for a city getaway or a relaxing vacation: We can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and would love to come back!
